Jacobs – Pritzker Breaks Promise for 2nd Time on Gerrymandered Maps

POMONA – A late Friday afternoon news dump revealed Governor JB Pritzker has signed a second version of new legislative maps that have been on his desk since early September. State Rep. Paul Jacobs (R-Pomona) issued the following statement in reaction to the news.

”For the second time, Governor JB Pritzker has broken his promise to veto any map drawn by politicians. The Democratic politicians in the supermajority once again drew severely gerrymandered maps, pitting 12 incumbent Republican House members against each other. The process that lead to the current maps was one of the least transparent, most egregious abuses of power I have witnessed in my time in Springfield.”
