Jacobs Encourages Illinoisans to “Shop Local” on National Small Business Week

POMONA – State Representative Paul Jacobs (R-Pomona) is urging residents to “Shop Local” during National Small Business Week. Jacobs is himself a small business owner, having run Von Jakob Vineyard and Winery and an optometry practice for many years.

“I want to wish a Happy National Small Business Week to the hard working people of Southern Illinois. I tip my hat to anyone that takes the chance to start their own business and achieve the American Dream!,” Jacobs said. “I want to encourage everyone that is able, to consider locally owned small businesses to fill your needs for goods and services of all kinds. When you shop local, your money stays in your community and helps grow the economy from the ground up.”

The 2024 National Small Business Week is will run from April 28 – May 4. National Small Business Week has been celebrated in the United States for more than 50 years.
