Springfield, IL – State Representative Paul Jacobs (R-Pomona) was sworn into office at the University of Illinois Springfield on Wednesday during inaugural ceremonies commemorating the start of the 104th General Assembly. Jacobs says the State of Illinois faces significant fiscal challenges in the months and years ahead.
“Today is a special day, and I am always so grateful to the voters of the 118th district for giving me this privilege to serve. I am thankful to my wife Rhoda, who is always my biggest supporter, and my family for their love and support. Our state is in trouble, and we need a new approach to governing that provides financial relief to our citizens and restore their faith in government,” Jacobs said.
Jacobs says his focus in a new General Assembly will be on protecting taxpayers and the most vulnerable residents that he represents.
“As State Representative, I am proud to have built a solid, conservative record. I’ve rejected tax increases, pay raises for politicians and irresponsible spending. I have also demanded accountability from the Pritzker administration to improve services for veterans and individuals with disabilities that I represent at the Anna Veterans Home and Choate. I will continue this work in the 104th General Assembly.”
Jacobs’ Marion office is open Monday through Friday at 600 Halfway Road, Suite 103, Marion, IL 62956. Jacobs can be reached by phone at 618-559-7018 Jacobs’ website is RepPaulJacobs.com and his email address is Jacobs@ILHouseGOP.org.
