MARION, IL – State Representative Paul Jacobs (R-Pomona) announced his annual summer reading program for incoming first through fourth grade students residing in the 118th State Representative district.
“I am inviting 1st through 4th graders to participate in my 2025 “Get in the Game” Summer Reading Club,” said Rep. Jacobs. “This is one of my favorite events to host each year. I encourage everyone, not just kids, to read more books and enjoy the wealth of literature available at our school and public libraries. Whether your interest is in sports, the great outdoors, science, history, or art, your adventures are endless.”
Students reading at least eight books by July 3, 2025 will receive an official Illinois House of Representatives Certificate of Recognition and two tickets (one for the reader, one for a parent/guardian) to a Thrillbillies baseball game at Mountain Dew Park in Marion in Wednesday, July for a special “Night at the Ballpark” celebrating summer readers!
Once a student completes reading 8 books, please fill out the form below and have a parent or guardian verify that the books were read. Books with more than 150 pages may be listed twice.
