POMONA – State Representative Paul Jacobs (R-Pomona) is reminding local residents with professional licenses issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) to start the renewal process to ensure their license does not expire.
“Although there have been some improvements in the delay times that professionally licensed folks are experiencing, there is still a process that takes time. Do not wait until the last minute to renew your license, get started now,” Jacobs said.
Several professionals, such as accountants, physical therapists, psychologists, and cosmetic and esthetician teachers, have licenses that will expire on September 30, 2024. Individuals can learn more about the process and get the paperwork that they need to renew their license by visiting the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation’s website at https://idfpr.illinois.gov/renewals/defaultssl.html.
“With shortages in our workforce already an existing problem, I want folks to know that they need to start the process of renewing their license sooner rather than later,” Jacobs said. “My office in Marion is available to help anyone that is experiencing problems with contacting IDFPR and to help navigate through any issues.”
Rep. Jacobs’ Marion office is located at 600 Halfway Road. The office can be reached by phone at (618) 559-7018 or by email at Jacobs@ILHouseGOP.org.
