FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL THURSDAY, APRIL 24
The National Water Prediction Service of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) says the ‘Flood Warning’ continues for the Ohio River at Cairo and is expected to crest on Wednesday then begin a slow fall. Moderate flooding is occurring. Flood stage is 40.0 feet. Learn more HERE.
At 11:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 52.3 feet. The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 11:00 AM CDT Tuesday was 52.5 feet. The river is expected to fall below flood stage Wednesday, April 23 and continue falling to 34.1 feet Friday, April 25.
