Marion, IL – State Representative Paul Jacobs (R-Pomona) released the following statement after the largest-in-history $55.9 Billion FY 27 State Budget was signed into law by Governor Pritzker on June 16:
“This budget does not deliver affordability and will increase taxes on Illinois families. Instead of addressing rising costs, Democrats instead focused on funding for new pork projects and political earmarks, immigrant services, and pay raises for politicians. Families need fewer taxes, lower costs, and responsible spending. This budget does the opposite. That’s why I voted no.”
